ONE PHOTO EVERY WEEK 26/52/2025-MILO ON WHEELS

A Taste of Nostalgia on the Streets Food trucks have become a vibrant part of our city life—especially during festivals or weekend night markets. But even on a regular day, stumbling upon one can feel like a mini celebration. This iconic green Milo truck instantly transports me back to childhood. There’s something timeless about sipping an ice-cold Milo on a hot day in the city. It’s more than just a drink—it’s comfort, refreshment, and a little spark of joy, all in one cup. Watching people gather around, each waiting for their turn with anticipation, reminds me how simple pleasures still matter. The streets may have changed, but the taste of Milo remains the same. Always familiar, always welcome.

ONE PHOTO EVERY WEEK 25/52/2025-COLOURFUL CERAMIC

CERAMIC ART IN DAILY LIFE Most people are familiar with traditional ceramics in the form of dishes, pots, and decorative items. However, in my past five years of engagement with young art entrepreneurs, I noticed that fewer than 5% venture into ceramic-based artistic creations. Compared to paper or digital mediums, ceramics require a more complex process—ranging from sculpting, glazing, and firing to quality control—but the results are often timeless and tactile. You’d be surprised how often I stumble upon beautiful finds at Pasar Seni, Pasar Tani, and even bundle shops. I’m particularly drawn to floral motifs and warm-toned designs that bring both function and beauty to everyday life. I strongly encourage more young artists to explore ceramics as a creative and business avenue. There is untapped potential in this niche—both locally and g...

ONE PHOTO EVERY WEEK 24/52/2025-LP MUSIC

My first encounter with music from LPs began the 1960s when I saw my elder cousin playing with it.  At that time, I ignored it because I was not intersted listening to music. When I arrived in Sheffield England in 1973, LPs music was booming. A few of my seniors and friends were deep into listening to music from their Hi-Fi system. I was only contented with listening to radio. My real interest in listening to music was when iPod came and hundred of songs to choose and liste.  At home, I bought external speakers to listen to great music. My special interest is Jazz.  Back to the present, I now listen to music from my smartphones and transistor radio. Lately, a freind introduced me to the good old days of listening to music from LPs.  Doming from old school, I still prefer to listen to rsdio on radio waves instead of streming from Wi-Fi. Old habits die hard. Now, I am looking to buy this vintage turn table just for fun.  Herewith, I am sharing a photo of creative ...

ONE PHOTO EVERY WEEK 23/52/2025- ROADSIDE FOOD KIOSK

People continuing to eat at roadside stalls in a modern city like Putrajaya—despite the availability of polished office-tower restaurants—says a lot when viewed through the entrepreneurial lens. As a business coach, I explore raison d'etre for the co-existence of two classes of restaurants for different market segmets. 1. Understanding Customer Behavior Is a Key Entrepreneurial Skill Roadside stall operators inherently understand where people gather, what they want, and how they prefer to consume. In Putrajaya, many patrons:    •   Seek quick meals during busy schedules.    •   Appreciate the authentic, local flavor often lost in upscale restaurants.    •   Prefer open-air, casual settings where there’s no pressure to dress up or spend more than they planned. 👉 Entrepreneurial insight: Successful entrepreneurs recognize that convenience, familiarity, and community often outweigh luxury. 2. Lean Startup Principles in Act...
